Eligibility Requirements

Foreign students from countries not included in the “Visa-Free Entry” section need a student visa (C9) to enter Kazakhstan.
A year’s worth of entries into Kazakhstan is permitted with this type of visa.
Visa must be bettered annually.
After receiving the letter of invitation, the applicant delivers the necessary paperwork to the Kazakhstani Embassy or Consulate abroad to apply for a visa.
It is the responsibility of the applicant to confirm the list of required documents (such as the application form, photocopy, fee receipt, etc.) on the website of the Embassy or Consulate.
The candidates will also be responsible for paying the visa cost.

Required Documents for Bachelor’s Degrees

Identity proof application (passport, ID card)
Letter of Recommendation from the Former University Previous Transcripts
Motivational letter in English, Russian, or Kazakh
Invitation letter from the University of Kazakhstan
A medical fitness certificate that details the opinions of a therapist, neurologist, and psychiatrist as well as data from a fluoroscopic X-ray, lab tests, and a doctor’s certificate issued by the national health authority of the applicant’s home country confirming the applicant’s lack of HIV infection and AIDS.

Required Documents for master’s & Ph.D. Degrees

Identification documentation (passport or ID card) and two letters of recommendation from the previous university

Motivational letter in English, Russian, or Kazakh
Invitation Message from the University of Kazakhstan
Evidence of English language competency
A minimum TOEFL PBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of 453 is necessary, as well as a TOEFL IBT (Internet-based Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of 46.
