Erasmus Mundus EMLE Scholarship 2025 [Fully Funded]

The Erasmus Mundus EMLE Scholarship is one of the most popular master’s programs offered by Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Scholarships. EMLE stands for European Master in Law and Economics, a one-year scholarship for a master’s degree completed at at least three universities located in Europe and non-European countries. This scholarship is fully funded by the European Commission. Applicants will receive application results in July 2025. Final year students can also apply for the Erasmus EMLE Scholarship if they graduate before July of the same year. The EMLE program will start in October 2025. The EMLE program is available in the following countries: France, USA, Spain, Belgium, Israel, Germany, India, Italy, Netherlands, and Poland. Erasmus Mundus Scholarship Coverage

International Students can apply for the Fully Funded Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree Scholarship by the European Commission. The Scholarship covers:

EMLE Program Structure

Duration: 1 year (3 terms). You can choose two to three Locations to complete your term.

  • Term 1: Spain, Germany, or Netherlands
  • Term 2: Germany, Netherlands, or Belgium
  • Term 3 (Thesis): India, Germany, Israel, Italy, Poland, France, USA.

One of the key features of the EMLE program is that students earn official degrees from each partner university where they complete a term of study.

  2. Ghent: LL.M. European Master in Law and Economics
  3. Rotterdam: LL.M. European Master in Law and Economics
  4. Hamburg: LL.M. European Master in Law and Economics
  5. Arizona: Master of Legal Studies (MLS)
  6. Warsaw: Magister na kierunku Ekonomiczna Analiza Prawa (Master in Economic Analysis of Law)
  7. Rome (LUMSA): European Master in Law and Economics
  8. Mumbai: Master of Science in Law and Economics
  9. Barcelona (UPF): LL.M. European Master in Law and Economics
  10. Aix-en-Provence: Master Droit Economie Gestion, mention Economie du Droit, spécialité Business Law and Economics (Master of Business, Law and Economics).

Eligibility Criteria

  • The Scholarship is open to all the Nationals. Please check the Eligible Countries for the Erasmus Scholarship.
  • A Three-year Bachelor’s or four-year bachelor’s degree is required,
  • Final-year students can also apply.
  • Preference will be given to students with a background in law and/or economics.
  • Applicants with other degrees than law and/or economics may also apply, but they have to show their interest in the letter of motivation.

English Language Exemption

If you have obtained your previous degree from these countries or Citizens from these countries are exempted.

Selection Criteria

  • 40%: Quality of Academic, Degrees, Certificates, Grades
  • 25%: Quality of Motivation letter
  • 25%: Relevant Studies to the Law and Economics, and Motivation.
  • 10%: Letters of recommendation.
