New XMU International Student Scholarship applications will be open from February 1 to April 15, 2021. The University of Xiamen (XMU) established a scholarship program in 2006 to support international undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students. Programs paid for Xiamen University scholarship winners waive their tuition. In addition, life scholarships are awarded to outstanding students according to the criteria of Chinese government scholarships.

For many years, the university has been one of the top institutions of higher education in southern China. Xiamen University specializes in chemistry, journalism, mathematics, fine arts, economics and management, law, and communications.

XMU New International Students Scholarships Eligibility
To apply for a new XMU International Student Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens.
- Educational background and age limit (till 1 September 2020):
- Undergraduate Program: Obtain a high school diploma or higher and be under 25 years old.
- Master’s Program: Obtain a bachelor’s
- Doctoral Program: Obtain a master’s degree or higher and be under 45 years of age.

The scholarship application will be considered only if the applicant is accepted at Xiamen University. Therefore, please follow the instructions below to request the program.

Xiamen University scholarship applicants will have to apply online and upload a scanned copy of the application form. The scholarship application form must be completed in Chinese or English and signed by applicants.
Note:
- Applicants must provide a complete set of program materials and be held accountable for the accuracy of their credit. Incomplete or fake program content will be rejected.
- Applicants are expected to keep their phones on, check their email and online application accounts regularly as they will contact the XMU Admissions Office if necessary.
