About the ADB Scholarship:

The Asian Development Bank-Japan Scholarship Program was established in April 1988 with funding from the Government of Japan. Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the University of Auckland ADB Scholarship 2023-24 you must meet the following criteria:

  • Nationality of the ADB borrower member. Visit ADB-Japan Scholarship Program for a list of current developing member countries.
  • Have gained admission to an approved Master’s program at an approved educational institution.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a high academic record.
  • At least two years of full-time professional work experience (obtained after a university degree) at the time of application.
  • Oral and written communication skills in English must be able to study.
  • At the time of application, the applicant’s age is under 35 years. In exceptional cases, the age limit is 45 years for programs suitable for senior executives and managers.
  • Live well
  • After completing the program agree to return to your home country.

Ineligibility Criteria:

  • Executive Directors, Alternate Directors, Management Staff and ADB, advisors and relatives of the above persons.
  • Employees of JSP-enrolled institutes cannot apply to their institute.
  • Applicants who live or work in a country other than the country of origin.
  • Applicants who are already enrolled in graduate programs or have already completed graduate programs.
  • Undergraduate Studies, Distance Education Programs, Short-Term Education, Conferences, Seminars, Thesis and Research Projects.

The application deadline for the University of Auckland ADB Scholarships 2023-24 in New Zealand is 21st July 2023. The selection for the scholarship will take place between July 24 to September 29, 2023.
