NCTU International Student Scholarships for International Students:

Applications are been invited to apply for the 2023-24 NCTU International Student Scholarship in Taiwan. All international students are eligible to apply for the National Chiao Tung University Scholarships in Taiwan for Fall 2023. Students who wish to study in Taiwan using the full scholarship are encouraged to apply. It is Taiwan’s most prestigious university award for bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degrees from NCTU.

Almost all academic courses and majors are offered by NCTU under this scholarship. Universities in Taiwan offer over 2,000 awards to all students to complete their studies here. The scholarship covers almost all expenses.

National Chiao Tung University was established in 1896 and is located in Taiwan. National Chiao Tung University in Taiwan is one of the top research universities. In Taiwan National Chiao Tung University is ranked 4th and 427th in the world. Currently, there are more than 14,000 national and international students enrolled in this university.

Financial Benefits:

The NCTU International Student Scholarship 2023-24 for international students in Taiwan covers the following fees.

Bachelor’s Degree Scholarship:

  • Up to NT$21,000 (US$700) per month Monthly Stipend and/or Tuition waiver.

Master’s Degree Scholarship:

  • University Tuition fees Waivers
  • Monthly stipend NT$22,000 (US$733) per month
  • The assistantship also provides mentorship to graduate students for research work.

Doctoral Degree Scholarship:

  • Waivers of tuition fees
  • Monthly stipend of NT$29,000 (US$966) per month
  • PhD Students will also get Assistantship By Advisor for Research Work.

Taiwan Scholarship – MOE, MOFA, MOST Scholarship:

This scholarship is provided by the Government of Taiwan (Ministry of Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Science and Technology).

MOFA Scholarship:

  • Monthly Stipend: NT$30,000
  • One Direct Round-Trip Economy-Class Ticket

MOE Scholarship:

  • Exemption from tuition and some fees
  • Students can only study at participating universities in the Consortium of Taiwan Scholarship Program.
  • Mainly to recipients from eligible countries designated by the MOE.

Eligibility Criteria:

To apply for the National Chiao Tung University Scholarship 2023-24, candidates must fulfil the following criteria:

  • International applicants with any nationality other than Taiwan are eligible to apply.
  • Applicants must be physically and mentally fit.
  • Candidates who are recipients of any other scholarship are not eligible.
  • Applicants should fill out the application form correctly, honestly, and completely and send the application material as required by the university.
  • Candidates having high school diplomas are eligible to apply for an undergraduate degree programmes.
  • Applicants with bachelor’s degrees can apply for master’s degrees.
  • Students with a master’s degree are eligible to apply for the PhD.

Documents Required:

Students should prepare the following documents before applying for the NCTU International Student Scholarship in Taiwan 2023-24.

  • Online application form
  • Highest academic degree with official seal.
  • Highest degree Transcript
  • 2 letters of recommendation: (must be written by the volunteer’s teacher, counselor, or employer).
  • Copy of valid passport
  • The study program must be written in Chinese or English.
  • Proficiency in English: If the applicant’s previous degree was taught in English, the candidate can provide English language proficiency certificate from the previous institution.
  • University thesis or related publication (for PhD applicants).

Application Deadline:

15th March 2023 for Fall Intake and 30th September 2023 for Spring Intake is the last date to apply for the National Chiao Tung University Scholarships in Taiwan 2023-24.

How to Apply?

To apply for NCTU International Student Scholarship in Taiwan 2023-24, you must follow these steps:

  1. Visit the NCTU Scholarship website for information on available scholarship programs and their requirements. Some scholarships may have specific eligibility criteria such as nationality, academic performance or research focus.
  2. Submit an application online through the scholarship website, or download and complete the application form and send it to the Scholarship Office by email or post.
