Hurford Youth Leadership Program 2023:

Do you want to improve your leadership skills and support and promote democracy in your community? Now, applications for the Harford 2023 Youth Leadership Program are open in the United States. The Hurford Young Fellows Program is a full-budget scholarship and one of the most competitive scholarship programs in the world.

The Hurford Program is one of the best youth exchange programs in which selected participants are connected to global networks, democracy movements and youth movements around the world. The main objective of the Hurford Youth Scholarship is to train potential young democracy activists and strengthen their leadership skills. In this event, young leaders will participate in research, meetings, leadership presentations, online group discussions and other important meetings on democracy issues.

The duration of this program is 3 months. The event will take place in Washington DC from March 1 to May 31, 2023. No registration fee is required. Candidates will be based on their work and interest in working with others and advancing democracy. Nominees will be selected through a network of NED Regional Program staff, World Movement Secretariat staff and the Harford Youth Association alumni network.

The Hurford Youth Leadership Program is a complete leadership program in the United States. Each participant will receive living expenses, basic health insurance, and a monthly stipend to and from Washington, DC. Colleagues will have their own office, including Internet access and email. It also provides grants for long-distance calls.

Eligibility Criteria:

The age of the participant should not be more than 30 years.
Social or democratic workers can apply in their own communities or around the world.
Participants will be encouraged if they are affiliated with or recognized by civil society organizations.
Participants must know English.
