All international students from least-developed and low-income Commonwealth countries are eligible to apply for the Commonwealth Scholarship. Candidates wishing to pursue a Master’s degree in the UK are highly encouraged to apply. Its scholarship is solely for low-income students. This scholarship is available to pursue a master’s degree in any field in all academic fields and trends. The duration of the Master’s scholarship will be 1 year. Financial Benefits:
- The full tuition fee is covered by a grant provided by CSC.
- A return ticket will be given.
- A monthly stipend of £1,236 will be provided.
- A grant of £1,516 per month is awarded to students studying at universities in the London Metropolitan Area.
- Allowance is given for warm clothing.
- The university will pay for the thesis, If applicable. (funded by CSC)
- A travelling allowance will be provided for study-related expenses. Travel can be in the UK or abroad.
- The cost of compulsory TB testing is reimbursed.
- The Visa fee will be refunded.
- If you are a single parent or widowed or divorced, the first child benefit will be £529 per month. In addition, £131 per month is provided if you have a second or third child. The Children must be under 16 years of age.
- If you are disabled, a special disability allowance will be given after a thorough examination and evaluation.
Eligibility Criteria:
- The candidate must be a citizen of an eligible Commonwealth nation or have refugee status from a Commonwealth nation.
- British Patron List candidates can apply.
- Applicants must be permanent residents of a Commonwealth country.
- A candidate must have an Honors degree with first class or at least second class higher grade or at least second class grade.
- The candidate should have a relevant postgraduate qualification, usually a master’s degree.
- The student should be able to study in the UK from September 2023 onwards.
- The student must not have studied or worked for one academic year in the UK or any other high-income country.
- The candidate should not be able to study in a UK university without a Commonwealth grant.

- For the Commonwealth, Scholarship candidates have to apply online at CW Common Portal.
- Be sure to apply for university and scholarships separately.
- Candidates must find relevant and required courses from the given list.
- Select the university from the given list.
- Each university has its own terms and conditions. Make sure you meet all UK university requirements and adhere to university deadlines.
- If a university does not require proof of English proficiency, ask the university to enrol you for a scholarship without an English test via email.
- UK universities must nominate candidates for the scholarship.
- You can apply for more than one university and more than one major, but if you get a scholarship, you only need to choose one university and major.
