About Brunei government scholarship:

The University of Brunei Scholarship Program 2021 is funded by international students for undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate, postgraduate and doctoral studies under the Ministry of Finance. Courses at various universities in Brunei. There are several degree programs available for each degree. The language of instruction is English.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of Brunei Darussalam is pleased to announce international programs for the Brunei Darussalam International Scholarship 2021 under the said Scholarship Award for the 2021/2022 academic year from around the world.

Benefits of Brunei Darussalam Government Scholarship:

Brunei Scholarship for Diploma, Bachelor and Master Degree (MS / M.Phil) with state funding. This scholarship covers all tuition fees in Brunei.

Expenses Which Will Cover (Bachelors / Masters):

  1. Exemption from tuition fees includes admission fee, examination, registration, and orientation for the duration of the program
  2. Round Air Ticket to/from Brunei Darussalam 
  3. A monthly meals allowance of BND$150.00
  4. An annual book allowance of BND$600.00
  5. Accommodation at the residential college
  6. At the end of the program, scholarship recipients will pay the number of personal belongings for their country of origin, maximum:
  •  1. BND$250.00 within the ASEAN region 
  •  2. BND$500.00 outside the ASEAN region

7. Comprehensive insurance

A monthly living Allowance will be Given:

  1. A Monthly Personal allowance of BND$500.00

Duration of Scholarship:

  1. Diploma: 3 Years
  2. Undergraduate Degree: 8 Semester
  3. Master Degree: 12 Months, 24 Months

Expenses Which Will Cover By Ph.D. / Graduate Scholarship:

Note: Scholarship For Ph.D. Students Is Only Available Universiti Brunei Darussalam.
  1. Waived tuition fees, including registration and acceptance fees.
  2. A subsistence allowance of BND 500.00/month for 36 months.
  3. On-campus accommodation for 36 months.
  4. One round trip economy class air ticket 
  5. Allowances for field research
    1. (BND 1000.00 for Arts and Humanities)
    2. (BND 2000.00 for Science candidates)

  • Applications are open to, but not limited to, ASEAN citizens, Commonwealth of Independent States and OIC member states.
  • Applicants must be between 18-25 years of age & for MS no more than 35
  • The award is not eligible for permanent residents of Brunei Darussalam.
